How WICS protects your data

We are committed to respecting your privacy whenever we handle or use your personal information as part of our work.

Data protection gives you rights in relation to your personal information. Individuals to whom personal data relates are called ‘data subjects’.

As a data subject you have the right to ask us to:

  • give you a copy of any personal data we hold about you
  • correct personal data that is not accurate
  • erase personal data in certain circumstances, where this would not breach any legal, regulatory, safety, security or core operational requirement.

Any request to view the personal data that we hold about you is known as a ‘data subject access request’. We aim to meet all data subject access requests within 1 month of receipt of your request, although we may extend this to 3 months for complex requests. We will not charge you for this. To initiate a request, please email us at dpo@wics.scot.

Our transparency statements and privacy policy provide information about how we hold and use your personal information and your rights in relation to data.
